Public education is vital to our democratic way of life and a foundational American institution that is fundamental in helping to eradicate poverty, illiteracy, and the many social ills that stem from limiting the educational opportunities for our youth. Sadly, public education is no longer a public or legislative priority in California and in many other states across the nation. For this reason, school board associations around the country, from Texas to Pennsylvania, have implemented efforts like Stand Up For Public Schools – to communicate the good news and facts about public schools.

With the help of the 1,000 plus K-12 school districts and county offices of education across the state, Stand Up For Public Schools is a channel through which educators, parents and students can share their good news about students and their local schools.
